Credit Unions Add Enhanced Gift Card Programs to Plastic Products Lineup

(Des Moines, Iowa – January 15, 2010) – Five TMG Iowa credit union clients have opted to add TMG’s ATIRAgift card to their existing plastics offering.
TMG’s existing credit and debit clients ACE Community Credit Union, Casebine Community Credit Union, Mercy-City-Lehigh Family Credit Union, Metco Credit Union and Meridian Credit Union have each partnered with TMG to begin offering TMG’s Visa-branded gift card, ATIRAgift, to their membership and community bases.
TMG’s ATIRAgift program offers more than plastic and processing. In addition to supporting a financial institution’s inventory and backend solutions, TMG provides FI’s with the following:
- A marketing guide designed to help FI’s create a stand-out gift card program;
- marketing materials, including artwork, newsletter/blog copy, letter templates, on-hold messaging and more;
- the option to participate in TMG’s annual gift cards sales contest.
New ATIRAgift card packaging allows FI’s to offer a prepaid card product that is both attractive and opportune. Built as a self-contained card booklet, the packaging not only houses the gift card; it includes terms and fee information to help both buyers and recipients fully understand the ATIRAgift product.
“The impact of the CARD Act on the prepaid world is yet to be completely determined,” said TMG’s Jeff Falk, TMG director of product development. “But one area we already know has been impacted is consumer demand for information. They want a clear-cut explanation of the rules and fees associated with their cards, and by packaging that information with the card, we hope to help our clients deliver just that.”
